最初はせっかく和紙のフィルターにしても、ドリップする姿が普通のフィルターと一緒でインスタ映えしない、という大学生の子のご意見をもらったんです。
形を変えて紙を折る「折り紙」なら、立体感も出るし面白いんじゃないかな？と思い色々試行錯誤しました。

それで、どうせなら神代和紙で淹れたコーヒーを飲んだ人の想いも、和紙のように長く残ったらいいな、という想いを込めて、長寿の象徴である「鶴型のフィルター」にしてみたんです。
コーヒー色に染まっていく鶴の姿を見ながらコーヒーを淹れる時間は、私自身もとても気に入っています。 

At first, I got feedback from a college student saying that even though it was a special Japanese paper filter, the act of dripping coffee looked just like a regular filter and wasn't really Instagram-worthy.

I thought that if we changed the shape and folded the paper like 'origami,' it could add a three-dimensional feel and be more fun, so I experimented in various ways.  

Then I thought, why not make the filter in the shape of a crane, which is a symbol of longevity, with the hope that the feelings of the person drinking coffee brewed with Kamiyo Japanese paper would last a long time, just like the paper itself.

I really love the time spent brewing coffee while watching the crane slowly get dyed coffee color.
